Most advertisements portray smokers as fit, lively, sexy, and successful. People smoking can also be seen in a lot of TVs, video games, and movie scenes.

Tobacco smoke introduces not only nicotine but also over 5,000 chemicals into your lungs, blood, and organs, including several carcinogens (cancer-causing compounds). Smoking has the potential to dramatically reduce your longevity. Smoking is the leading preventable cause of mortality in the United States.
